Girls and odd-lot musicians, can you sing B-52’s style music? Would you like to join our Retro-Novelty-Rock-Dance band? There’s a copy of my craiglist listing below and a link to it. But you don’t need to visit that site — simply write me or connect on Facebook.com/DeanLach (it’s my personal profile on FB where I love to talk music and filmmaking.)
Note: This is a unique project because we have the support of my Television network, MoviesPlusTV.com, and also because I’m so dang “grooooovy.”

Anyway, if you’re interested please email me and don’t forget to mention your favorite B-52’s tune or Gruppo Sportivo tune, and tell me why you like it (please.) Why do I ask? Because I really don’t want to have band-members who secretly would prefer doing Bob Seger or something else. Don’t get me wrong, I like classic rock, but for this project…think “Fastball meets Devo.”

Psst: Detroit has a history of novelty bands. Did you know that? You can still go ut and see The Polish Mus’ (they even cut a record recently.) Other bands that cut records and had a nice following in the region include: The Mutants (“So American” was their regional hit) and then there’s our beloved Bootsey X (the “Lovemasters” had great tunes like “Genius from the Waist Down” and “Pusherman of Love”) and also let’s not forget Jack White’s infamous parody-rock band “Goober and Peas,” who released “Hot Hot Women and Cold Cold Beer.”
That’s all for now…use the Craiglist email if you want to write me, otherwise direct-message me via my profile on FB: DeanLach
